At CHBC we take seriously the command of Jesus, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone, everywhere" (Mark 16:15). God continues to challenge us that we cannot limit our vision to Cardiff Heights or even to Newcastle & Lake Macquarie but we must look at the world. For some of us it will mean changing the way we think and changing the way we spend. For some it will mean more time spent in prayer. For others it will include a short-term trip to experience cross-cultural missions first hand. Some are called to work long-term in different locations around the world. We pray for and help to support the following full-time cross cultural gospel workers: Andrew and Jenny work with SIM Ethiopia reaching out to the Me’en people. Andrew’s role is to raise up, mentor, disciple and train new leaders for the Me’en church. David and Elly work with Wycliffe Bible Translators, based in Victoria. They previously worked in Chad and Dave continues to work on the Moukoulu translation. He is also Personnel Administrator for Wycliffe Australia. Elly works as Assistant to Personnel Administration for SIL Chad Branch. L & L work in Asia in a ministry empowering disadvantaged people with income earning skills and opportunities. Lindsay and Jenny are Mission Mobilisers with WEC International in the Hunter Region. This includes involvement in running Hunter ReachOut and Perspectives courses. Lindsay also is the Liaison Officer for WEC in relation to the national church in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where they lived and served for a number of years.
